Hace más de 30 años vi fotografías del siglo 19 (en nuestras colecciones de Grabados y Fotografías, La Biblioteca Pública de Nueva York) de las excavaciones de las ruinas, y luego, más tarde, una exposición de Allan McCollum, de múltiplos de moldes de perro .. Por fin llego a visitar el molde de la propia perro.
(More than 30 years ago I saw 19th century photographs (in our collections of Prints & Photographs of The New York Public Library) of the excavations of ruins.  Then, much later, I saw the installation of Allan McCullom of multiples of casts of the corpse of the dog.  Now, at last, I share space with the actual cast of the dog.)
